July 2013,
Naval Baag, simply peace and reality. I was here spending part of my holydays and I have been soon kidnapped by the familiar atmosphere of the place which is reflected in the pleasantness of the Great Man who is more a big brother then the owner of the property. I spent here (only) one week relaxing somethimes and following the 'big brother' Mr. Surendra Singh with his nice friends/helpers in the land's different activities. In the premonsoon time when some farming activities haven't started jet, I had the chance to milk cows and camels, drinking milk directly hot and fresh from a leave. The bird watching is not difficult to do cause some Guyava trees , Figs and Malbari had been planted expecially for birds by the loving mother of the owners ( or big brothers). Many animals can be seen wildly coming inside the land and a panters and leopards watching point is 25 km far, but we didn't have time enough to go. So kindelyMrSurendra provided us the bike on which we could see few villages around, very nice and the Ranakpun Temple, splendid Jain temple. Surendra Je introduced me to some friends and masters in many jobs: blacksmiths, carpenters, barbers, Potters, and many more , giving me present resulting from their job. Sooo nice!! The permanence was more then GREAT, sadly we had to continue the tour, but coming soon... sure coming soon!!
You can feel free to do what you want riding camenls, sleeping under the endless sky, night safari, lunch under one of many trees of the place, go into the Natural Park reserve (1 km far from the house) for a treckdinnr or sleeping, visiting the shiva temple very close by, or enjoy the nice rooms clean, big, pleasant, with air cooler, where to have a nice and silent rest.
The food was simply amazing, fresh, taken directly from the fields.. a professional cook (a friend of big brothers) did it for me cooking splendid tradictional dishes; eating very sweet fruit just taken from the tree made me feel like a baby . I had no problem, because the problems seem to stay out of Naval baag.
The cost is also very reasonable from the moment that the permanence there doesn't need any other costs and is not only good, but almost medical.
Warmly suggested for a typical and real tradictional village experience, not the usual journey for travelers.
